Bowel Cleansing This may be the most taboo subject on the planet, more taboo than sex. Jokes about sex are readily told, but people don’t want to talk about the bowel. It is time, then, for me to lay it on the line. Yes, I know … you don’t want to hear it and would love to skip this section, but I’m sorry … it needs to be said.
Most people don't know it, but almost all adults have between seven and fifteen kilos of faecal plaque sitting in their bowel year after year. That is, all who haven’t done an appropriate clean-sing program … one that resulted in removing plaque similar to the photos on the next page.
When I say faecal plaque, I don't mean the faeces that are excreted when you go to the toilet every day. Everyone knows what daily ‘poos’ looks like, yet most people have never seen long-term faecal plaque. It has the consistency of soft leather and the holding strength of bread dough. You can even swing it about a little without it breaking and dropping. It is nothing like normal faeces. It’s usually darker, yet the colour isn’t very …………………

…….. the results of tests for mercury levels in my Japanese clients were already serious. It hadn't reached crisis level but was heading that way. Recently every Japanese client who comes to me has a level double that of the Japanese clients five years before.
While talking to one of these clients, I exclaimed, “That level of mercury toxicity is enough to bring about the beginnings of mass insanity!”
“Funny you should say that,” he replied………. |

The nurse said an x-ray was needed to find out. In her jovial way she added, “Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have x-ray vision like Superman and see at a glance what the problem is?”
I said, “If someone told you they could check the problem without an x-ray, would you believe it?”
“Of course not,” she replied with lament as well as conviction that it was impossible.
Half an hour later the
nurse returned with Sarah from the x-ray department. “It is a green bone fracture,” she
reported. “You guessed it right.” She looked at me expecting a certain type
of expression … one of glee when you guess the correct answer on a quiz
program. Instead my expression was one of confirmation. For a second time stood
still … her mind said to me, “It was just a guess, wasn’t
it?” ……...
I tested myself on my
machine. My first shock: the reading for arterial plaque was 58. I, who have
lived on Japanese food for about 30 years! How could this be? I realise now
that eating typical New Zealand food the first 25 years of my life was enough
to clog my arteries to this extent. My 58-year-old sister’s reading was 26. I
was now beginning to understand how widespread and acute this problem is. I
then tested her husband; his reading was 23. Two weeks later he had a heart
attack! Since then I
have worked out ………….
…………… more pleasant to take. One month of treatment usually changes the
readings about 5 to 7 points, so it can take about five months to do the full
clean-up. Yet what is five months compared to a heart attack?

…….It means that if you are depressed, by taking Prozac more of the ‘happiness’ signals will get through to your body making you feel better.
Now that we understand the scientific process, let’s look at whether Prozac is working on the symptoms or the cause.
As we have seen, a happy person’s body has a sufficient amount of serotonin. A depressed person is likely to be deficient in serotonin. The drug-based approach provides more of the chemical to do the job so that the body will have sensations of feeling happy regardless of the fears, belief systems and experiences held in the person’s mind.
It is also hoped that this happiness will continue … and often it does until the antidepressant is stopped. In other cases the body adjusts to the drug and it no longer has the desired effect. When that happens stronger drugs are often recommended.
Even if some stability is reached, the person experiences it as a neutral zone … halfway between depression and joy, a condition of feeling okay but lacking the vitality of a balanced human being.
Because these drugs replace a chemical that is produced naturally by a person whose mind is balanced and happy, it is my opinion that they only treat the symptoms. This to me is an artificial process.
The following may not be a perfect analogy, but it may give you a visual impression of antidepressant treatment
Imagine a little boy watching a video of his mother telling him how wonderful he is. The sound of the voice is a real enough, the picture of the mother is clear and the boy feels a little better. It is however, a poor substitute for his mother being there in person speaking the same words.

…….I had indeed chosen my room tactically. The only possible risk was the one that did in fact occur … a rocket landing on the roof of the hotel, destroying the room above us.
I sat there for what seemed like a very long time, drinking in the tranquillity, totally oblivious to anything outside of myself. Other events may have occurred, but they failed to penetrate my consciousness. It was a dreamlike state, yet my awareness was crystal clear. Finally the time came to methodically check my body for possible injury or even death. The total lack of fear was intriguing as I pondered the possibility of the worst outcome. A feeling of total acceptance had enveloped me and I couldn’t help being completely absorbed in it. Why should I taint it with the news of being dead? It was with almost humorous curiosity that I began to check the different parts of my body … celebrating one by one that they were still intact.
Slowly from somewhere in the distance I started to hear a faint chuckle. The sound grew louder as I became more aware of my surroundings. Henry was laughing his head off. Before long we were both rolling around in absolute rapture, marveling at fate and the near miss that had left us unscathed. I was amused to find that the light in the room still worked. The half-twisted wire hung like a dead snake, limply protruding from the broken plaster of the ceiling. When I switched it on our eyes met, setting off another round of convulsions. My belly became sore from all the exuberant laughter. The room was largely undamaged except for the ceiling and pieces of plaster all over the floor. Obviously, the rocket had only penetrated the room above.

…….What typically happens is this. The powerful heavenly force coming down through the top of the head flows through the body into the spine and suddenly hits blockages in the lower chakras — that is, if it hasn’t already encountered a blockage in the throat chakra. The energy cannot pass through and bounces back up the spine overstimulating the third eye, or brow chakra, in the centre of the forehead just above the eyes. Because the energy has been unable to pass through successfully, the person tends to become unbalanced and cannot remain grounded.
The brow chakra is the center of thought and insight. When overstimulated it can make the mind very active. When highly stimulated, it allows an opening of the mind to perception of reality on different levels … levels other than those termed ‘normal.’ The third eye is the doorway to understanding reality from a wider perspective, ……...
……...The person may now be unable to understand and assimilate the new perceptions. This will lead to severe anxiety, and that anxiety, a powerful energy in itself, can overstimulate the brow chakra even further. The resulting vicious circle exacerbates the original condition and increases the anxiety. …….. |

………..More recently though it has been observed that many vegetarians seem depleted, drained and simply lacking in vital energy. Many are calm and ‘spiritual’ yet lack a sense of being grounded. Others are overweight as well. Upon questioning, clients with these symptoms tell me they’ve become vegetarian and with further questioning say that nothing has changed in their diets except the elimination of animal protein.
This particular subject is the focus of this section.
From my training in Japanese medicine, I understood the importance of yin/yang balance within the body…….. |
